Management and Science University (MSU) hosted the launch of FMM Selangor Young Entrepreneur Programme this July.


Present to witness the launch was FMM Selangor SMI Entrepreneurship and Innovation Working Sub-Committee Chairman, Mr Ng Ming Yee, who was received on campus in Shah Alam Section 13 by MSU’s Senior Vice-President for Global Affairs and Strategic Communication, Dato’ Rosli Yusof, and Vice-President for Industrial Linkages and Entrepreneurship, Associate Professor Dr Abdul Jalil Ghazali.




The programme also launched its first competition; running for three months until September and open to students of Management and Science University (MSU) as its inaugural contenders.


The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) had hosted its Entrepreneurship and Innovation Conference at MSU in 2018.

The FMM Selangor Young Entrepreneur Programme 2019 aims to provide aspiring entrepreneurs among university students with a new platform to transform business ideas into sustainable ventures. The mechanics of the programme shall provide manufacturing-related advice to aid contestants’ idea development.





The competition process includes acceleration, proposal submission, selection, and pitching. Winners stand to grab between one and four thousand Ringgit in cash.


By its nature nurturing creativity and innovation, entrepreneurship is a solution to unemployment, shifting mindsets from job-seeking to job creating.
