What the course will give you
The health science management honours degree programme at Management & Science University (MSU) offers a well-rounded curriculum with emphases on both the health and the business sides of health science management. Delivered by the Department of Diagnostic & Allied Health Science (DHS) at the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences (FHLS), courses on the BHS programme include accounting for healthcare, anatomy and physiology, disaster management, quality assurance and improvement, and health informatics.
The programme lecturers are also your mentors and may include industry professionals. Where the qualification may lead you to
Health science management graduates typically work in medical and surgical hospitals, or as department or program managers in healthcare facilities, administrators who work behind the scenes, managing the administration of a center without direct contact with patients. Potential employers of health science management graduates include the Ministry of Health, community care or rehabilitation facilities, and private healthcare providers, among others.
Who may enrol
You need to pass STPM/Matriculation/A-Level/Pre-University or equivalent with at least 2.50 CGPA in Biology/Physics and Chemistry AND pass SPM or equivalent with a Credit in five (5) subjects including three (3) from Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and English; OR to obtain a related Diploma (MQF Level 4) with at least 2.75 CGPA from a recognized institution (CGPAs below 2.75 need may be supported by at least 3 years / 36 months of related work experience).
Equivalent international qualifications will be subject to MSU Senate approval. International students must also score at least 6.0 in IELTS or 550 in TOEFL or equivalent, for writing.
