What the course will give you
The curriculum of the MSU diploma programme in nursing focuses on health and the care aspect of nursing. You will undergo comprehensive learning experience involving classroom work, activities at simulation wards, practical room, and skills lab. Your subjects of study include psychology and sociology, pharmacology, health sciences, paediatric, obstetric, and gynaecological care, also community, emergency, and disaster nursing.

Attachments with partner hospitals and community health clinics ensure you graduate industry-ready for a career in nursing.

There is high demand for nurses worldwide, with international placements as far as the Middle East and Australia. After some years of clinical experience, you may also work as a Clinical Instructor in institutions of higher learning offering medical/nursing-related programmes.
Who may enrol
You need to pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent with Credit in five (5) subjects including Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics (Elementary/Additional/Modern), Science (General/Pure Science such as Biology/Chemistry/Physics, and a Pass in Biology/Physics, and a Pass in Biology) and two (2) other subjects, and Pass in English Language.
International applicants need to pass a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) equivalent and obtain Credit in five (5) subjects including Mathematics (Elementary/Additional/Modern), Science (General/Pure Science such a Biology/Chemistry, and a Pass in Biology/Physics, and a Pass in Biology) and three (3) other subjects. You need also to pass IELTS with at least 5.5 overall band score or TOEFL with 515 minimum score.
