What the course will give you
The MSU diploma programme in occupational safety and health (DOSH) aims to produce graduates capable of maintaining safety and health in the 21st-century workplace. Your subjects of study include anatomy and physiology in health and safety management, safety of machines and constructions, chemical risks to health, industrial hygiene, and OSH legislation.
Your lecturers are industry professionals, and the learning opportunities and experiences we provide you will add depth and breadth to your understanding and develop both your vocational and life skills. An internship at the end of your studies ensures you graduate industry-ready for a career in occupational safety and health (OSH).

You may find many opportunities in the government sector, private agencies, service industries, manufacturing industries, and insurance companies. Industry job titles include Safety & Health Officer, Industrial Hygienist, and Loss Control Officer, among others.
Who may enrol
You need at least THREE (3) Credits including in one Science subject at SPM level OR a PTPL Health Science Certificate with at least 2.00 CGPA OR an equivalent qualification recognized by MSU Senate.
Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) is a three-year career-focused industry-developed programme of MSU’s Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (FHLS).
