What the course will give you
The curriculum of the MSU honours degree programme in computer forensics aims to develop computer professionals able to track computer-based crimes. You will learn cyber security and applications besides support technologies, be exposed to current and developing principles and practices, and train by various tools and techniques of computer forensics.
Your lecturers are industry professionals, and the learning opportunities and experiences we provide you will add depth and breadth to your understanding and develop both your vocational and life skills. An internship at the end of your studies ensures you graduate industry-ready for a career in computer forensics.

Where the qualification may lead you to
Computer forensics careers are found mainly in law-enforcement agencies, military and government intelligence agencies, and private security and consulting companies. Industry job titles include Computer Forensics Consultant, Computer Forensics Manager, Computer Forensics Investigator, Digital Forensics Detective, Cyber Investigator, and Computer Research Engineer, among others.
Who may enrol
You need at least 2.00 CGPA or THREE (3) C’s at STPM level including in Pengajian Am / Kertas Am (General Studies/General Paper) or TWO (2) C’s including in Pengajian Am / Kertas Am (General Studies / General Paper) plus TWO (2) D’s; and a Credit each in Bahasa Malaysia and Mathematics at SPM level; OR an MSU Foundation Certificate; OR an MSU or a PTPL Diploma/Certificate; OR THREE (3) A-Levels; OR an equivalent qualification recognized by MSU Senate.
Bachelor in Computer Forensics (BCF) is a three-year career-focused industry-developed programme by the Department of Information Science and Computing at MSU’s Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE).
