What the course will give you
The honours degree programme in information technology is delivered by the Department of Information Sciences and Computing (ISC) at the Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE). Courses offered on the BMWT programme include data structure and algorithm, data communication and network, wireless technology and services, mobile and wireless network, mobile operating system, and mobile communication architectures.
A system of mentoring will add depth and breadth to your understanding of mobile wireless and information technology. Industrial training at the end of your studies prepares you for your future career in mobile wireless and information technology. With industry and entrepreneurship embedded in the MSU curriculum, the learning opportunities and experiences we provide you will also develop your creativity, leadership, and soft skills.

Industry job titles include Application Programmer, Software Technology Developer, Radio Frequency/Wireless Specialist, M-Commerce Developer, Wired & Wireless Network Technical Specialist, Computer System and Server Administrator, also Wired & Wireless Security Administrator, among others.
Who can enrol
You need a Credit in Mathematics at SPM level AND at least a C (CGPA 2.0) in two (2) subjects at STPM level, or Jayyid in STAM, or 2.00 CGPA in Matriculation/Foundation, or 2.50 CGPA for Diploma in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Technology / Information Systems / other equivalents; Diploma in Science and Technology or Business Studies with at least 2.50 CGPA may be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; CGPAs below 2.50 but above 2.00 may also be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; a Credit in subjects related to computing, whether at SPM or STPM level, is preferred.
Equivalent qualifications include UEC with at least a B in five (5) subjects including Mathematics.
