What the course will give you
The curriculum of the MSU diploma in computer forensics will equip you with legal knowledge and investigative skills in tracking computer-based crimes. You will learn algorithm and data structure, object-oriented programming, network and computer security, artificial intelligence fundamentals, and cyber law. Your knowledge will be broad and deeply technical while your skills will be highly professional.

Where the qualification may lead you to
Computer forensics jobs are mainly in IT/security environments; law-enforcement agencies, military and government intelligence, private security companies, and consultancies. Industry job titles include Computer Forensics Investigator, Digital Forensics Detective, and Cyber Investigator/Programmer/Technician, among others.
Who can enrol
You need THREE (3) Credits at SPM/SPMV level including in Mathematics OR a PTPL Certificate in Computer Science with a Pass in all subjects OR an equivalent qualification recognized by MSU Senate.
Diploma in Computer Forensics (DCF) is a two-and-a-half-year industry-developed programme by the Department of Information Science and Computing at MSU’s Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE).
