What the course will give you
The curriculum of the MSU diploma programme in information technology will develop your skills in designing a microprocessor-based system, Java programming, and internet applications. You will learn computer organization and architecture, data communication and network, database fundamentals, web programming, operating system, also network and computer security.
Your lecturers are industry professionals, and the learning opportunities and experiences we provide you will add depth and breadth to your understanding and develop both your vocational and life skills. An internship at the end of your studies ensures you graduate industry-ready for a career in information technology.

Where the qualification may lead you to
Industry job titles include Programmer, Network Support Executive, System Support Executive, and Assistant System Engineer, among others. You may also choose to go on to degree studies, take full advantage of the core skills you acquired from the diploma programme, and expand your career options.
Who can enrol
You need at least THREE (3) Credits at SPM/SPMV including in Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, and one Science subject OR a PTPL Certificate in Computer Science OR an equivalent qualification recognized by MSU Senate.
Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) is a two-and-a-half-year career-focused industry-developed programme by the Department of Information Science and Computing at MSU’s Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE).
