Malaysian batik and pelekat sarongs get some airtime in National Day friendly flashmob march by students of Management and Science University (MSU)
With the female students in batik sarong and the male students in kain pelekat, the students of the MSU School of Hospitality and Creative Arts (SHCA) proudly and simultaneously marched from five LRT and MRT stations to the National Museum in Kuala Lumpur.
Keretapi Sarong was introduced in 2012, jointly organized by LOCCO and Gaya Travel Magazine. The 2017 program the #SayangMalaysia Keratapi Sarong, was supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture (MOTAC) in conjunction with the 54th Malaysia Day celebration.
At the museum, the MSUrians helped make sure the National Day programmes organized there that day ran smoothly. Their active participation made for an enriching learning experience, enabling them to gain new knowledge and develop their soft skills.
