What the course will give you
Design master programme at MSU aims to advance your professional capacity by building on your existing design skills and knowledge. This is a research programme offering three sub-field options: graphic design, photography, and new media, which caters to professionals in digital design, animation, creative multimedia design, and video/audio production. The programme integrates technology and strategic design thinking into creative exploration of design concepts, aesthetics, and dynamics, with the aim to develop in-depth, theoretically informed, critical understanding of design issues, practices, and technicalities in the industry context. Expected competency outcomes include the capability to produce global, integrated, futuristic new-age design solutions.

Equipped with more exposures and experiences, graduates of the MSU Master of Design would have the competitiveness to seek higher professional roles. The theoretical and practical grounding gained should stand you in good stead for managerial or consultancy positions in art/design production, development, or research; as well as in advertising, media and broadcasting, multimedia, publishing, or promotional industries.
Who may enrol
Prospective applicants must submit a research proposal and pass an interview. Required qualifications include a recognized Bachelor’s degree (MQF Level 6) or equivalent, in Art and Design or related fields, and at least 2.75 CGPA; CGPAs between 2.50 and 2.75 may be supported by three (3) years working experience in Art and Design; CGPAs below 2.50 may be supported by five (5) years working experience in related fields.
