What the course will give you
The music performance degree programme at Management and Science University (MSU) will equip you with skills and techniques gained through exposure to various musical genres. You will learn the history of western music as well as 20th and 21st century music, and sharpen your aural proficiency and music-theory knowledge. Modules in choir performance, orchestra performance, and gamelan ensemble join MIDI & Programming, basic live sound engineering, and artist management. You will also give a recital towards the end your studies, and spend your final semester in industrial training.
Bachelor in Music Performance (Honours) is delivered by the Department of Creative Arts at the School of Hospitality and Creative Arts (SHCA).

Where the qualification may lead you to
While the entire purpose of getting a degree in music performance is to develop you into the best performer you can be, a grasp of musical theory will be your key to many career doors. And while the music industry will always need performers, other jobs in which your music performance degree would be useful include voice-over artist, accompanist, and backing vocalist/instrumentalist.
Who may enrol
Applicants who have passed STPM or equivalent, with at least a C (2.00 CGPA) in any two (2) subjects; OR A-Levels, with at least a Pass in two (2) relevant subjects; OR SAM with ATAR 70, with a B in two (2) relevant subjects; OR CPU, averaging 70% in two (2) relevant subjects; OR STAM, with Jayyid; OR UEC, with a B in five (5) subjects; OR Matriculation/Foundation, with 2.00 CGPA, from a Higher Education Provider recognized by the Government of Malaysia; OR Diploma (MQF Level 4) or equivalent, with at least 2.00 CGPA, from MSU College, Polytechnic, IKM, Community College, or others; OR SKM (MQF Level 4) or equivalent, with at least 2.00 CGPA; OR any other qualifications recognized as equivalent by MSU Senate or the Government of Malaysia.
