What the course will give you
MSU’s diploma programme in spa management will equip you with business knowledge besides techniques of treatment and therapy. The DSM curriculum will teach you the principles of spa, the scopes of a spa professional, and how to operate, manage, staff, maintain, market, and promote a spa.
You will train in a real spa, which is on-campus, and your lecturers are industry professionals. A period of industrial internship towards the end of your studies places you right in the heart of the job market. The real-life environment and experience we provide will give you a deep understanding of the industry and develop your entrepreneurial and business skills. You graduate industry-ready for a professional career in spa management.

Where the qualification may lead you to
You could work for an industry vendor or a support service company, in a privately owned business or your own, in government service or vocational training, in resorts, on cruise ships, at health and wellness clubs and hotels, as assistant manager, assistant trainer, assistant advisor, and marketer, among others. Real-life roles of diploma graduates of spa management other than the immediate one of Assistant Spa Manager have included Assistant Team Leader and Assistant General Manager.
Who may enrol
You will need THREE (3) Credits (preference to Maths and Science) at SPM level; OR a PTPL Certificate; OR an equivalent qualification recognized by MSU Senate.
Diploma in Spa Management (DSM) is a two-and-a-half-year career-focused industry-developed programme of MSU’s School of Hospitality and Creative Arts (SHCA).
