What the course will give you
The curriculum of the MSU honours degree programme in pharmacy teaches you the practices of hospital pharmacy, medication, health counseling and consultation, patient management, and clinical pharmacy. Among your subjects of study are anatomy and physiology, microbiology and immunology, pathophysiology, and medical pharmacology. You will also learn the skills of pharmacy management and pharmaceutical engineering.
You will not only be equipped for pharmaceutical practice but also research. Your lecturers are industry professionals and researchers themselves, keeping you abreast with the latest discoveries. The learning opportunities and experiences we provide will add depth and breadth to your understanding and develop both your vocational and life skills. You graduate with the capability of facilitating the use of medicine to improve quality of life and living.
Upon graduation and to be a registered pharmacist, you must first complete a training programme with any provider approved by the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia.

You could be working in healthcare centres, hospitals, government agencies, or the pharmaceutical industry, as Pharmacist, Pharmacologist, Toxicologist, Healthcare Consultant, Clinical Research Associate, Product/Process Development Scientist, or Regulations Officer, among others.
Who may enrol
You need at least THREE (3) C’s at STPM level including in Pengajian Am / Kertas Am (General Studies / General Paper) or TWO (2) C’s including in Pengajian Am / Kertas Am (General Studies / General Paper) plus TWO (2) D’s, and a Credit in Bahasa Malaysia or Bahasa Melayu Silibus X / Bahasa Malaysia II at SPM level; OR an MSU Foundation Certificate; OR an MSU or a PTPL Diploma/Certificate in a relevant field; OR an equivalent qualification recognized by MSU Senate.
Bachelor (Hons) of Pharmacy (BPH) is a four-year career-focused industry-developed programme of MSU’s School of Pharmacy.
