What the course will give you
Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceuticals Technology (Hons) at Management & Science University (MSU) is delivered by the MSU School of Pharmacy (SPH). The 3.5-year full-time programme prepares you to become an expert in production of pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and nutraceutical products. You will also be fully knowledgeable in new product development process, packaging, quality control, quality assurance, factory and laboratory management, warehouse and stock distribution management, and work process design in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

You have the opportunity to join the MSU Global Mobility Programme (GMP) and Global Internship Programme (GIP) with partner universities in countries such as Japan, Thailand, and Indonesia. In GIP, you may opt for an overseas internship at industries that link with our partner universities, for the period of industrial attachment in your final year.

Your studies at MSU will be guided by lecturers who are industry professionals and researchers themselves, keeping you abreast with the latest industry discoveries. You graduate with deep understanding and competency, and also industry readiness for a career in pharmaceutical technology.

Where the qualification may lead you to
You could be directing and supervising pharmaceutical manufacturing process as a Manufacturing Chemist. Pharmaceutical manufacturers need such personnel to obtain manufacturing licenses, and the role is one of responsibility, requiring technical competence. Promotions from this position may be to Works Manager or Factory Manager. You could also be working in quality control/assurance, regulation, or analysis, as Drugs Controller or Inspector, or in marketing, as Medical Representative or Business Executive.

Who may enrol
STPM / Matriculation / A-Level / Pre-University / Foundation C (2.50 CGPA) in Biology/Physics and Chemistry
SPM or equivalent CREDIT or equivalent in five (5) subjects including three (3) from Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, English
Diploma (MQF Level 4) in a related field 2.50 CGPA; CGPA below 2.50 may be supported by at least two (2) years (24 months) working experience in a relevant field
South Australia Matriculation (SAM) At least 65-70% of the aggregate or TER / UAI 75
Canadian Pre-University (CPU) At least 80% aggregate
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) Grade B in five (5) subjects
Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS must achieve at least 6.0 in IELTS or 550 in TOEFL writing.
