About the Course
Bachelor in Spa Management (Hons) programme is designed for individuals who are aspired to advance their career in spa management industry. The aim of this bachelor is to give students the knowledge, skills and competencies necessary for employment in support and management positions within the spa industry and the health and wellness tourism sector. The scope of the programme extends from spa operational practical skills, to customer service, operations, and management of spa, health and wellness tourism resources, enterprises and/or destinations in a modern dynamic business environment. Students will learn the benefits of holistic health, and also trained in the fast-growing spa business. The spa has state-of-the-art equipment for these sessions to offer students the most technologically up-to-date experience.

Entry Requirement

(i) STPM Candidate :

    (a) Pass SPM or its equivalent with credit in Bahasa Malaysia II;


    (b) Pass STPM or its equivalent, with minimum Grade C in 3 subjects including Pengajian Am (General Studies);


    (c) A pass in STPM or its equivalent, with minimum Grade C in 2 subjects including Pengajian Am (General Studies) and Grade D for 2 other subjects;


(ii) Ministry of Education (KPM) Matriculation Certificate or MSU Foundation Certificate, or Foundation Certificate or its equivalent from higher learning institution:

  • in Malaysia which is recognised by KPT and approved by MQA
  • overseas which is equivalent to KPT Matriculation Programme


(iii) Diploma from PTPL/MSU, or Diploma from Polytechnic or IPTA with accreditation;


(iv) Pass at least 3 subjects in A-Level (GCE);


(v) Pass The South Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) with minimum score of 65% - 70%;


(vi) Pass Canadian Pre University Programme (CPU) with minimum score of 80%;


(vii) Pass Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least grade B in 5 subjects;


(viii) other equivalent qualification recognised by Malaysian Government

Career Prospect
Individuals with specialised training and education in Spa Management can expect a variety of career options and levels of leadership available to them in the industry, either directly working in a spa or working for an industry vendor or support service company. Typically, graduates of the Spa Management bachelor programme move into roles such as Spa Manager, Spa Coordinator, Spa Trainer/Instructor, Spa Director, Assistant General Manager, Team Leader and Entrepreneur.
