About the Course
Diploma in Pharmacy is an undergraduate programme to provide students with fundamental knowledge and understandings of the professional emphasis areas in pharmacy including dispensing and compounding of medication, health care scientific management, pharmaceutical prescription and technology applied in pharmaceutical care. This programme aims to strengthen its graduates to assume responsibilities in a range of pharmaceutical sectors. At the end of this programme, graduates are expected to be able to identify prescription and dosage of medication, dispense advice and guideline on health and implement the basic medication therapy.

Entry Requirement

(i) Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with 3 credits including Mathematics, Bahasa Malaysia and one Science subject (preference to students with credit in Biology);

    OR

(ii) Certificate from Polytechnic, IPTA or IPTS and other equivalent qualification recognized by University Senate;

    OR

(iii) Pass Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least grade B in 3 subjects;

    OR

(iv) Other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government

This programme enables its graduates to enter into a diverse career opportunities in government sector, local public or private organisations, healthcare clinics/consultancies and any pharmaceutical-related industries as Pharmacy Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Quality Assistant, Assistant Consultant On Healthcare and Multichannel Marketing Assistant.

Graduates may also consider pursuing for higher learning education in any local or internationally recognised Institutions to be qualified for the higher positions awaiting in future.
