Introduction:
BHCM is offered to unlocking great business performance by aligning all people management and development practices with business goals, at the same time as really engaging employees to meet these objectives. Human capital is intangible forms of capital. Economists regard expenditures on education, training, medical care, and so on as investments in human capital. They are called human capital because people cannot be separated from their knowledge, skills, health, or values in the way they can be separated from their financial and physical assets. Students will be taught and trained to identify and analyze all types of theory and strategy and managing it through different tools.

Core Subject Description:
- o
Training and Development - This course will introduce about the roles and benefits of training and development, systematic approach to training and development.
- o Recruitment and Development - This course will analyze and discusses the important aspects of recruitment and selection process. It will also relate the strategic human resource planning with the recruitment process. It also covers the fundamental of recruitment and selection; job analysis and job description, recruitment process and selection process.
- o Introduction to Human Capital Management - This course covers topics that are related to the theories and practices in managing human resources which include the main functions of human resource management (HRM) and its relationship with organizational development and management. To strengthen students understanding on the HRM functions and its relationship to organizational success specific practical oriented projects are designed and given to them as part of the overall assessment.
- o Compensation Management - This course will introduce about the fundamentals of compensation and benefits. It covers various models, methods and techniques in developing compensation policies and strategies.
- o Performance Management - This course analyses and discusses the important aspects of performance management process. It also covers the promotion criteria, performance assessment, guidance and counseling.
- o International Human Resource Management - Student will be exposed to the human capital internationalization activities through trade research.
- o Introduction to Counseling and Guidance Skills - This course exposes students to counseling theories and the responsibility of counselor. It also stresses more on communication skills. The school is where students idealism forms to create an innovative, creative and productive individual. As required by current development process. Therefore to operate an effective Counseling and Guidance services, a counselor should know adequate philosophy needs and expertise.
- o Employment Law and Industrial Relations - This course will expose the students to basic grasp of law which governs the employment relationship between employer and employee. Student will be introduce to Employment Act 1955.
Entrance Requirement:
The minimum entry requirements for this programme are:
- Minimum requirement (STPM candidates)
i. Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)
Candidates will have to pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination or equivalent with credits in Bahasa Malaysia or Bahasa Melayu (Syllabus X) / Bahasa Malaysia II
AND
ii. Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent
Candidates will have to pass Sijil Tinggi Peperiksaan Malaysia (STPM) examination with at least:
a) Pass with C grade in 3 subjects including General Studies paper
OR
b) Pass with C grade in 2 subjects including General Studies, and another
2 subjects with D grade
OR
- Malaysian Ministry of Education's Matriculation Certificate or MSU foundation or equivalent qualification from other institutions approved by Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education and accredited by Lembaga Akreditasi Negara (LAN);
OR
- Minimum passes 3 subjects of A 'Level' (GCE).
OR
- Minimum 65-70% score for The South Australian Matriculation (SAM)
OR
- Minimum 80% score for Canadian Pre-University Program (CPU).
OR
- Diploma in related fields from PTPL/ MSU or Diploma/Certificate in related fields from Polytechnics, IPTA or accredited IPTS or other institutions recognized by Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education.
However, to successfully complete Bachelor in Investment Management (Honours) programme, it is essential that students should possess a high standard of analytical and cognitive skills. It is recommended that students should have achieved a credit in English and Mathematics at SPM.
