Diploma in Investment Management
Introduction:
Diploma in Investment Management is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the concept of investment, the theories applied as well as various types of investment options available.
Objective:
Student pursuing this course will be able to understand the theories and current practices in the investment industry enabling them to face the challenges of the volatility as well as rapid developments in this industry.
Career Prospects:
This course prepares the students for business management related careers. Students could hold the positions of Administrative Executive, Management Executive, Marketing Executive, Business Development Executive, Business Analysts and Sales Executive.
Entry Requirements:
- Pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or its equivalent with:
- 5 credits inclusive of Bahasa Melayu / Mathematics and 3 other.
OR
- Diploma Pengurusan from PTPL students who have other qualifications other than ones stated, may refer the matter to the University Senate.
Course Content:
Graduates in this discipline may seek employment as Investment Executives in various organisation in the private and government sectors. They have the opportunity to enhance their skills in carrying out investment function in workplace such as banks, insurance companies, stock broking firms, stock exchanges, fund managers and government agencies.
