Celebrating culture is one of the things we do together at Management and Science University (MSU). For Deepavali this year, the MSU Indian Cultural Association is planning fun and exciting competitions to celebrate on-campus in shared Deepavali spirit. Apart from familiarizing yourself to the Indian culture, you can also improve your skills by joining the competitions! Let’s take a look!

Traditional Attire Rampwalk competition (7th November 2017)

Unleash your inner model by joining this rampwalk competition! Get your traditional outfit on and walk that ramp! The most creative and theme-accurate outfits will win the contest.

This rampwalk competition is not only fun, but it will help you boost your confidence of being in front of people. So let’s add colour to the celebration by bringing out your personality along with your brightest Deepavali-themed outfits!

MSU Deepavali Dance Battle (8th November 2017)

Get your dance on, MSUrians! There will be a dance competition going on and EVERYONE is welcome to participate. It is open-themed so you can show off your moves in any kind of dance – traditional, modern, Bollywood or Hollywood!

Dancing has been proven to diminish depression and is also a stress-free way to communicate and socialize with people so you will be able to work on your communication skills! Dancing can help you express yourself better!

Makeover competition (9th November 2017)

This one is for all the ladies at MSU! Show us your beauty skills by transforming someone’s looks. Do your model’s hair and make-up creatively, and accessorize her as well! Make sure you follow the Deepavali theme!

This competition is a great way for all our beauty gurus across campus to test out their skills! Remember to use a lot of colours and to be bold with the looks you are going to create!

Deepavali Digital Poster competition (10th November 2017)

A lot of MSUrians are multi-talented and very creative, and this competition is open to them! Start creating your Deepavali-themed poster and take part in this competition!

Photo editing is a plus skill for students! Get started or sharpen your skill by joining this poster competition! All posters submitted will be exhibited at the closing ceremony! Show off your creative side, MSUrians!

The Deepavali closing ceremony (15th November 2017)

The closing ceremony is the Deepavali celebration proper, involving all MSUrians across campus! It’s the main event officiated by our President, and a prize-giving ceremony will be held for the winners of all the competitions!
