The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (FHLS) at Management and Science University (MSU) engaged with the local community this Ramadan through their flagship programme, CaSeH.
Community Engagement for Sustainable Humanity (CaSeH) 2025 comprised five primary sub-programmes namely Infiniti Tresna, Bakul Ramadan, Neighbourhood, Santun Ramadan, and Nur Ramadan. Each connected with a distinct community, restoring well-being.
Headed by the Optometry, Rehabilitation, and Wellbeing (ORWC) club, the eleventh edition of Infiniti Tresna was held in Rumah Kasih Harmoni, Paya Jaras, which was supported by Maxvue Vision Sdn. Bhd. On top of providing eye screening examinations to 118 residents, reading and prescription glasses were also distributed.
At Masjid Al-Ikhlas, Section 13, through Bakul Ramadan 7.0 and Neighbourhood 6.0, Biovarsity Club at FHLS provided dried food to 50 B40 communities; free health screening; eye screening; food pyramid & nutrition consultation; BMI, blood pressure, glucose & cholesterol tests; and basic life support training such as CPR & choking aid, first aid training, hand-washing technique, and breast self-examination.
The first edition of Santun Ramadan, spearheaded by the Professional Technology Community (ProTech) Club, featured the distribution of Sahur packs to firefighters and healthcare officers around the Selangor region. Among the recipients were Bomba dan Penyelamat Subang Jaya, Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat (Seri Kembangan) Serdang, Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat, Kajang, MSU Medical Centre, Hospital Shah Alam, Hospital Sungai Buloh, and Hospital Selayang.
In its tenth edition, Nur Ramadan was led by Diploma in Nursing, Bachelor in Nursing (Hons), Bachelor in Cardiovascular Technology (Hons), Diploma in Radiotherapy, and Diploma in Physiotherapy students. Taking place in Masjid Raudhatul Mukmini, Jalan Kapar (Klang), 30 families from Kampung Sungai Pinang at Jalan Kapar received daily necessities and health screenings.
