Management and Science University (MSU) through MSU Foundation Yayasan MSU (YMSU) and MSU’s Student and Career Development (SCD) Department has launched the MSU Cares Flood Relief Fund 2021.

 

 

Launching the latest Fund by MSU Cares for YMSU was Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid.

 

"We may not be able to do everything for everyone, but together we can do something for someone," said the MSU President.

 

 

Reiterating the MSU commitment to the University’s 2G culture of Giving and Grateful, and to environmental as well as to community sustainability, Professor Tan Sr Dr Shukri also spoke on the emergent need to equip MSUrians with disaster management preparedness as well as continuous research into delivering the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).

 

 

Management and Science University (MSU), whose main campus is in the state of Selangor, Malaysia, resides in the city of Shah Alam – one of several in the Klang Valley along with a few other states flooded by torrential rain that had begun downpouring mid-December.

 

 

To date, reportedly over 60,000 have been displaced by the floods; with record-high precipitations measured at weather stations in Selangor and the Federal State of Kuala Lumpur.

 

 

Pre-launch, the MSU Cares Flood Relief Fund 2021 had received close to seven thousand Ringgit in donations.
