Management and Science University (MSU) presented the Junainah Abdul Hamid Award to a Bachelor in Nutrition (Hons) student at the 18th International Medical, Pharmaceutical, Cosmeceutical and Health Science (iMPaCHS) Symposium by the University.
Nur Aina Adlina Adnan, from the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (FHLS), had presented her research on ‘Social Media Usage, Body Image Dissatisfaction, and Eating Disorder among Private University Students during the COVID-19 Pandemic’.
Four more students from the Bachelor in Nutrition (Hons) programme received two other awards at MSU’s 18th iMPaCHS.
Twenty-two participants from the School of Pharmacy (SPH), twelve from the International Medical School (IMS), and thirty-eight from the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (FHLS) vied for six Best Oral Presenter awards and ten for Best Poster Presenter.
Three awards for Best Local Research attracted twenty e-poster participations.
Receiving the awards from MSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Puan Sri Datuk Dr Junainah Abdul Hamid for Best Oral Presenter were Thivvyatracyny Mohana Kannan from the Bachelor in Nutrition (Hons) programme, Yong Gong Yu from the Bachelor in Forensic Science (Hons) programme, Yong Gong Yi from the Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) programme, Tong Jo Ann from the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) programme, Ira Atirah Mohd Sani Wong from the Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Technology (Hons) programme, and Noorfarain Ajmi from the Bachelor of Medical Sciences (Hons) programme.
Best Poster Presenter had Dhanasriy Sathiabalan, Puteri Iylia Asilah Shahril and Sohbanah Aplasamy from the Bachelor in Nutrition (Hons) programme; Norafidah Mhd Idris, Nurul Aqilah Azreen Redzal, and Tan Chun Hong from the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) programme; Amira Sofia Chee Shamil Chee and Iqra Najiah Tuz Zehra Mohd Amin Ali from the Bachelor of Medical Sciences (Hons) programme); Siti Nurhazlinda Suradi from the Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) programme; and Hafizah Hamilrudin from the Bachelor of Optometry (Hons) programme as the recipients.
Three from India received the Best e-Poster Award; Dr Ram Kumar Sahu of Assam University, Dr Prakash S. Goudanavar of Adichun Chanagiri University, and Abu Md Ashif Ikbal of Tripura University. The rest of the international participation included the Regional Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology as well as Sicher Medical College and Hospital, both from India.
iMPaCHS is a biannual symposium organized by the Medical and Health Sciences Cluster of Management and Science University (MSU); which comprises the MSU International Medical School (IMS), the MSU School of Pharmacy (SPH), and the MSU Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (FHLS).
The 18th iMPaCHS Symposium, themed Embracing Sustainable and Transformative Research, was hosted by the School of Pharmacy (SPH).
The keynote speech at iMPaCHS 18.0 was delivered by a member of the Universiti Malaya Faculty of Pharmacy Department of Pharmaceutical Technology.
