Management and Science University (MSU) has held a career carnival for the tourism industry.

 

Organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resource Malaysia (MOHR); the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC); and the Social Security Organization (SOCSO/PERKESO), the two-day Karnival Kerjaya Jamin Kerja Industri Pelancongan 2022 opened at MSU’s Chancellor Hall on campus in Shah Alam Section 13.

 

 

Some 3,662 tourism-related vacancies were offered on walk-in-interview basis by 61 participating companies; including MY Airline, Dorsett Hospitality International, and MSU Medical Centre (MSUMC).

 

 

Officiating the carnival opening was MSU president Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, who highlighted the importance of self-management and digitalization skills in building competitiveness for the current job market post-pandemic.

 

 

The tourism industry contributes USD 86 billion annually globally, he said, and with digital expanding into all areas of our lives, digital skills will be vital in the future. He reminded all to be alert to the change and to adapt accordingly by preparing one’s self with lifelong learning.

 

Management and Science University (MSU) had launched the MSU APEL Centre at the MSU Career and Lifelong Learning Education Fair 2022 through the MSU Continuing and Extended Education Centre (CEdEC).

 

 

Present for the opening day of Karnival Kerjaya Jamin Kerja Industri Pelancongan 2022 at the MSU Chancellor Hall on Monday the 14th of November were Head of SOCSO’s Employment Insurance System (EIS) Office and Secretary of MOTAC’s Industry Development Department.
