Management and Science University (MSU) held the MSU Youth and Sports Convention (MYSCO) in conjunction with the National Sports Month (Bulan Sukan Negara) in October.

 

A keynote speech was delivered by National Sports Institute CEO Mr Ahmad Faedzal, followed by a forum on Creating Opportunities for Youth Development through Sports, with panelists National Sports Council of Malaysia (NSC) Deputy Director General (Strategic) Mr Suhardi Alias, Selangor FA U-21 Head Coach Mr K Gunalan, and national rhythmic gymnast Miss Izzah Amzan.

 

 

Mr Suhardi shared the pathways that NSC has created for athletes to earn some pocket money while training, as well as opportunities for higher education. Mr K Gunalan spoke about youth development through football, recounting his experiences playing the game in his era. Eighteen-year-old Izzah Amzan shared her journey into rhythmic gymnastics and the sacrifices she and her family had to make for her dream to come true.

 

 

Management and Science University (MSU) recognizes the importance of sports in personal development. The university organizes an annual Sports United Championship (SUCA) through its University Staff Club (USC) and in collaboration with the SRC (Student Representatives Council).

 

 

MYSCO was a collaboration by MSU’s Students and Career Development (SCD) Department and SRC.
