Management and Science University (MSU) student Anis Aqila Abdul Rahman has received two awards from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM).
The Year-4 Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) student at MSU International Medical School (IMS) received an award for tahriri – the writing out of verses from the Al-Quran by memory – and a special award for twice completing memorization of the Al-Quran; both from JAKIM’s Tahfiz Certification programme.
A hundred and thirty-three students, including from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Institut Pendidikan Guru (IPG) Kampus Pendidikan Islam, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia (UTeM), Politeknik Shah Alam, and National Energy University (UNITEN) participated.
Anis Aqila joins two other award winners from IIUM and IPG in the tahriri category, and seven others from IIUM in the tahfiz category.
