Tan Sri Dato Seri Dr Wan Mohd Zahid Mohd Noordin was a key figure in the initial development of Management and Science University (MSU).
He had been Director General of Education Malaysia from 1993 to 1997 before joining MSU as Chairman, and was appointed Pro-Chancellor at the Management and Science University Convocation Ceremony of 2008 (MSU’s fourth) – where Tan Sri Dato Seri Dr Wan Mohd Zahid also received an Honorary Doctorate in Management.
His overall character embodying truth and compassion, his speech characterized by wisdom and decisiveness, Tan Sri Dr Wan Mohd Zahid struck a fine balance between gentleness and firmness.
A man of great resolve who finished the race regardless of personal circumstances, his presence and lightheartedness shall be missed.
Verily to the Almighty we belong, and truly to Him shall we return.
May the late Tan Sri Dato Seri Dr Wan Mohd Zahid Mohd Noordin be rewarded for all his good deeds, and his soul be placed in the ranks of the righteous.
