Said UST's Nikki Carlye B. Lopez, "I'm gaining new experiences and new friends, having fun practising the Malay language and learning within the amazing cultural diversity. I'm so excited to be here with super happening friends. The opportunity of making a new international friend at MSU while undergoing my internship here is among the best. Supportive lecturers help me enhance my soft skills, sharpen my leadership skills, and be more competitive. It's a challenge being in a new place and a new, albeit temporary, MSUrian, but it guides my learning here. The strong alliance with MSU has made it possible to learn a lot more and do something good."

Besides their academic activities, the interns also participated in the Annual General Meeting of the Bio Varsity Club as well as the MSU International Food Cuisine Festival at The Hub, where they performed a traditional Philippine dance.

The interns were also introduced to Malaysian traditional dance Zapin and martial arts Silat, and savoured their time here getting to know the country and her people.
