“In the spirit of our recent Independence Day and Malaysia Day, despite our diversity, we should remain clear on our focus of unitedness as MSUrians as well as Malaysians. “The real objective of SUCA is to build holistic well-roundedness in our students as well as staff. Competition is not about winning but creating excellence and a competitive spirit. I saw that spirit during SUCA 2019. You competed fairly, with determination and perseverance. I hope that spirit of competitiveness and fair play remain with you as a foundation of MSU; in the past, now, and in the future.

“As long as we are willing to compete, we are winners. If we had been unwilling to compete, we would never be one of the best among the best universities of the world, and we would not have been in the top 100 among 50 young universities of the world or among the top 300 best universities in Asia. With your competitive spirit and our pursuit of excellence, we are now one among the best one thousand universities in the world.”

SUCA 2019 offered nine categories for students and ten for staff. Both students and staff enjoyed futsal, netball, volleyball, e-sport, bowling, table tennis, and badminton. Students also had football and track and field, while staff had pool, carom, and dodgeball. MSU Kids had telematch-type games; Fruit Ninja, Squishy Squash, Splashy Art, Mommy Shop Me, Ice Cream Balls, Hula Hoops, and Ball Barians.
