Saving lives through their medical expertise is what MSU’s medical students do best. What sets MSU’s medicine courses apart is their broad selection. The courses are not just limited to the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) but also to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). TCM is offered at the diploma and bachelor levels. The curriculum of TCM has been established at the university upon extensive research, collaborations, and input from the experts in this field.
Affiliated with TCM-focused universities in China, the programme at MSU is viewed as effective. What could be better than learning it from the source itself? The clinical practise at the end of the studies ensures the graduates are industry-ready for a career in traditional Chinese medicine. TCM practitioners and physicians are regulated by the Malaysian TCM Practitioners Board, which is governed by the Malaysian Ministry of Health through the Traditional and Complementary Medicine Act. Besides MBBS and TCM, biomedicine is also offered at the master's and doctor of philosophy (PhD) levels under the medicine focus group.
