Enterprise Asia, Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award (APEA) 2017 Malaysia
For his entrepreneurial leadership providing equal access to education, and his successful creation of the University’s entrepreneur ecosystem, MSU President Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab. Yajid receives the region’s most prestigious award showcasing entrepreneurial excellence.

Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE), Most Entrepreneurial Award (MEA) 2016-2017
The title of Most Entrepreneurial Private University was won by MSU in the MEA 2016-2017 Institutional category. A recognition of the University’s embedded entrepreneur culture, the award criteria also included the conduciveness of the University’s environment in supporting enterprise and entrepreneurship, the leadership driving the entrepreneurship, and how far the University’s vision aligns with entrepreneurship. The impact of the University’s entrepreneurial initiatives was also measured, across institutional and national metrics as well as the wider environment.

MyASEAN Youth Award 2017
When Nur Farhana Nadirah Hassan realized that the transformation she had envisioned for the indigenous of Tohor did not last, the MSUrian took it on herself to pursue the desired long-term effect. Past her Bachelor in Finance (Honours) and the Mohd Shukri Yajid Outstanding Award she received on graduation day, she continued her voluntary work. Her efforts culminated in the Youth Award for the social impact her Tohor Revolution project potentially brings to other rural or post-disaster areas.
