11TH VIRTUAL SHCA RESEARCH COLLOQUIUM 2020 – SEPTEMBER 2020 SESSION


On the 16th & 18th December 2020, School of Hospitality & Creative Arts (SHCA) successfully organized the 11th Virtual SHCA Research Colloquium 2020. This program was participated by SHCA’s students undertaking Management Research for Service Industry (HRS20903) and Research Method (HRS20803), in which they presented their thesis and research poster. Among research areas presented are from the hospitality & tourism industry, event industry and food & beverage industry.

Upon this program, students were able to gain experience in presenting their ideas related to industry in a well-rounded environment which was supported by both local and international external panels throughout the presentation. This will not only help boost their confidence, but also provide a valuable experience for them as well. Besides that, this colloquium is to fulfil the requirement of MICE Management (HEM20903) and Convention, Meeting and Exhibition (HEM10304) for this semester subject. Ultimately, this event provides a platform for students to be able to gain new knowledge on research and develop their soft skill while doing the presentation.
