Spreading motivation and positivity through her social media platform is a 24-year-old model and social media influencer Joanna Joseph. Being ridiculed and bullied in the past has transformed this Diploma in Teaching (DTESL) MSUrian into a stronger individual, both physically and emotionally.


Joanna’s weight loss journey not only began since her experience on social shame and bullying back in her school days, but also her desire to be healthy due to some health issues. She made an oath to herself and came off as a healthier and a stronger version of her.


And here she is now, spreading motivational support and positive vibes on her social media platform based on her personal experiences. ‘Motivating people is the key to my success’ is what Joanna’s Intagram profile say, hoping those who struggle can benefit from her daily postings.


Joanna’s determination to help herself and others have brought great achievements to her. According to Joanna, one of her most sentimental achievements was winning her first crown as “Miss Selangor Earth 2016.”


When asked about her favorite motivational quote, Joanna said she lives by the quote “In order to make a change, you have to be the change.”

While losing weight is a dream to many, to achieve such goal requires motivation and self-discipline. Joanna shared that she is blessed to have a strong support system, especially her father.


“Beauty comes from within and shines brighter on the outside. I have always believed that we are all beautiful in our own ways. But beauty is only skin deep. What’s going to matter in the end are your values as a person,” added Joanna.
