Have You Been Utilizing Your Siri?

Life as a student is rapid, but this virtual assistant called Siri can save you some serious time. But first, to get Siri to run a Shortcut, first you have to summon Siri. Say "Hey Siri," on your iOS or iPadOS device, HomePod, or Apple Watch; then say the name of the Shortcut, such as "Directions Home," which will give you directions home from wherever you are.

These are some examples of Siri shortcuts you can try to make your hectic life a little easier:

  1. RUNNING LATE

Running late for class or a meeting? This smart Shortcut may send an SMS message to a contact to let them know you're late and, using the Maps app and your current location, tell them when you should be with them.

  2. SAY CHEESE!!

University is the place where you get to create beautiful, fun and crazy memories with your friends but those moments come unplanned. Simply say "Hey Siri, Say Cheese," and your phone will capture that special moment instantly.

  3. INTELLIGENT POWER

Sometimes it seems hard to get power source in between classes and activities. If you are running low on battery power, ask Siri to activate "Intelligent Power" in order to reduce your phone's battery. This shortcut can help you save your battery power and prevent your phone from dying.

  4. MAKE 25 TOP PLAYLIST

If you want to listen to some music but don't have time to fuss around, just ask Siri to "Make Top 25 Playlist" and she'll pull together your 25 most played tunes.

    Have fun trying!
