Life As A Pharmaceutical Student.

International Student, Noreen Hatem Abdelghafar Shaban, came all the way from Egypt to pursue her Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) here at Management & Science University (MSU). Read on as she shares her take on her journey as a pharmaceutical student:

“Being a Pharmaceutical student at MSU is an honour that can’t be described in words alone. It’s helpful having lecturers that make you want to study and learn new things in a fun way without it being boring. Within any great program there must be a great leader and MSU’s School of Pharmacy has the best.

MSU is the right path for any international student looking to pursue pharmacy, their enriching programme balances our soft skills and academics by exposing us to real situations among different healthcare teams under IPE and PEC which is an interprofessional education to avoid any miscommunication in the future as a pharmacist for better patient compliance. As for extracurricular activities, I was part of the pharmacy club under our faculty, MphC Pharmacy Club (2020/2021) as an assistant to an external officer.

I have learnt and experienced so many new things in such a short period of time, and it has gone by so fast. I am still discovering all the opportunities that university has to offer. MSU is a very welcoming place, and from the first day, I felt at home here. Time has flown by and it’s hard to believe that we’ve been on campus for 2 and a half years already. Life at MSU is a great experience that I plan to make the most out of.

I stand proudly as an MSUrian, MSU gives me the chance to continue my studying via online mode and it was a smooth process of disciplinary and fast responsiveness to the students. They used the BEZ system to conduct our exams easily throughout with no difficulties.

Being in such a professional university has made me realize what I’m going to aim for, a future pharmacist, which is in fact a novel profession in itself.”
