Royal Chef Experience
MSU College Shah Alam, in partnership with Hotel Concorde Shah Alam, sent students from Catering and Hotel Management programme to Istana Alam Shah for the Royalties Experience Programme, in conjunction with the 77th birthday of the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.
20 students were separated into two groups: service and kitchen. Students in charge of the kitchen were under the supervision of the Executive Chef, Chef Alham while students in charge of the serving area were overseen by the Banquet Manager Encik Zamri.
Fried vermicelli, mashed potatoes, dim sum, pau, grilled lamb, and apam balik were some of the meals served.
300 dignitaries and invited guests were present at the birthday ceremony of the Sultan of Selangor. Following the event, students learned about the Istana's history before having lunch as a group. The students' receiving of their pay was the program's most exciting part.
