Hospital Director and Medical Doctor at the Hospital Lawas in Sarawak, Dr. Ahmad Helmi Bin Hamdan, is an alumnus of Management and Science University (MSU).

“I started my career as a houseman in 2013. Finished 6 postings within 2 years. Paediatrics was my first posting. Quite challenging for a first poster because I had to deal with tiny and cute little humans. After finishing 2 years of housemanship, I started my journey as a junior medical officer at the Hospital Lawas, Sarawak. It is a non-specialist district hospital located at the northern most of Sarawak, bordering with Sabah. To make it worse, Lawas is geographically disadvantaged as it is isolated from the rest of Sarawak because of Brunei Darussalam in between. International passport is a must if I wanted to travel to other parts of Sarawak [from Lawas].”
