Jom Sihat campaign by MBBS students and alumni
24 January 2019

Management and Science University (MSU) International Medical School (IMS) recently organized a Jom Sihat programme for the city of Shah Alam’s select residents from the Section 16 community.

The programme had undergraduates as well as members of alumni campaigning for a healthy lifestyle. Alumna Dr Filzah Najihah Mazlan described the community engagement as a great opportunity for her to put to good use the medical knowledge from her MBBS education.

Remarked participant Muhammad Luqman Nurhakim Ahmad Sufie, “Community exposure makes good early preparation for me and my future-doctor friends, and the camaraderie in sharing efforts for the community contributes to an awesome bonding experience.”

The Jom Sihat campaign ran a health check comprising blood pressure reading, glucose test, eye check, and body-mass-index (BMI) measurement.
