Beating 32 to the crown is Food Service Technology student from Management and Science University (MSU)
MSU’s Bachelor in Food Service Technology student Vanessa Cruez has been crowned the 2018 World Miss University Malaysia (WMUM). Joining her in the winners’ league are fellow MSUrians Shahira Sundu of Bachelor in Marketing with Psychology and Chern Yun Yu of Bachelor in Hospitality and Tourism Management, respectively WMUM 2018’s Miss Leadership and Miss Virtue.

Vanessa takes home cash and prizes including a scholarship. She will be representing Malaysia at the country’s inaugural hosting of the pageant this November at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).

The winner of the 29th World Miss University International shall also be Ambassador to the World Miss University Peace Service Corps Foundation, and represent the organization in activities promoting world unity and understanding.

Participants from over 123 universities worldwide pit their intellect, wit, personality, leadership, and humanistic values against physical beauty. The pageant begun in 1986 under the patronage of the International University Presidents Association commemorates the International Year of Peace recognized by the United Nations.
