Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.

Climate change poses an evident threat to our entire civilization. In the absence of rapid action, the consequences are already evident and will become catastrophic over time. Through education, creativity, and a commitment to our climate duties, we can bring about the necessary environmental protection improvements. Management and Science University (MSU) has always been at the forefront of SDG efforts. Climate change has been a priority at MSU for the past five years. As part of the climate action project, MSU cooperated with a number of institutions, including the Majlis Bandar Shah Alam (MBSA) and the Free Tree Society, Malaysia.

During our exploration, We have learned that 80 to 90 percent of the world's carbon emissions are produced by buildings, making them the greatest opportunity for preventing climate change through carbon reduction. As long-term owners of buildings, universities have a special obligation to combat climate change through sustainable operation. Not only that, MSU has been focusing on environmental sustainability as a result of our collaboration with Free Tree Society, Malaysia. We make efforts to preserve the greenery of nature. We have also collaborated with a number of non-governmental organisations that devote a great deal of time, money and effort to the preservation of the environment, particularly forests. This is necessary for our efforts to have the greatest possible impact. In addition, we have been directly involved in tree replanting initiatives and have ensured that the forest ecosystem in East and West Malaysia can be preserved.
