Malaysia’s Best University for TVET Education by the Malaysia Education & TVET 2023 (META 2023) is conferred to Management and Science University.

Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) education not only meets industry demands but also plays a pivotal role in promoting economic growth in a way that is congruent with globalisation, advancements in knowledge, technological progress, and cross-border labour mobility. Generating a skilled workforce is paramount to Malaysia’s aspiration of achieving developed nation status, and TVET education serves as a cornerstone in this endeavour.

Management and Science University (MSU) continues to receive recognition as it was honoured with the Malaysia’s Best University (TVET Education) award at the Malaysia Education & TVET 2023 (META 2023) award ceremony at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur.

Presented by the ‘Education + TVET Asia’ publication, the prestigious second edition of the META awards is intended to be conferred by the industry, for the industry, and bestowed on the industry’s exceptional and noteworthy organisations and enterprises.

The distinguished award was presented by the Deputy Minister of Human Resources, Yang Berhormat Tuan Mustapha Sakmud, to MSU’s Founder and President, Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr. Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid. Also present were the Chairman of Koperasi Pendidikan Swasta Malaysia Berhad, Dato’ R. Rajendran, and the Managing Editor of Education + TVET Asia Management, Lee Seng Chee.

Acknowledging the award was Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr. Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid.

In 2018, MSU was lauded as a Global TVET Model University with Outstanding Leadership in International TVET Education.”

Being recognised as the recipient of Malaysia’s Best University (TVET Education) award highlights the University’s steadfast commitment as a leading higher education institution at the forefront of TVET-based education in both Malaysia and the global arena. The implementation of a range of innovative strategies, with a dedicated focus on integrating TVET elements throughout various academic programmes, has significantly reinforced this vision.

In addition to evaluating nominations based on leadership, productivity, innovativeness, and sustainability criteria, significant emphasis was placed on assessing excellence in branding, programmes, services, and products, as well as elements related to new start-ups.
