The Hippocratic Oath remains an indispensable pillar in influencing the ethical structure. It emphasises the significance of upholding the utmost standards of ethical behaviour and serves as a profound reminder of the immense obligations that accompany the medical profession.
A hundred and twenty-five graduating doctors, comprising 31 males and 98 females, as well as five international students from Australia, the Maldives, India, and Sri Lanka, took the Hippocratic Oath ahead of the 32nd Convocation Ceremony of Management and Science University (MSU). The graduating cohorts of new doctors were from MBBS April 2022 and MBBS October 2021 at the International Medical School (IMS) of MSU.
Leading the oath was Amsyar Jauhar Ahmad Jaafar.
Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr. Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, President of MSU, delivered a farewell address to the graduating MBBS Class of 2023.
“The best journey to medical professionalism is to learn from experience. Embrace the spirit of the oath for professionalism and integrity, and perpetually exhibit fortitude while maintaining a global outlook."
