Nusa, or "island,” and antara, which means "between,” are two Old Javanese words; together, they form the term Nusantara. It is also referred to as the Malay Archipelago, encompassing a group of countries, namely Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, and the Philippines. Nusantara holds manifold meanings to different people, and its definition has passed through changes over time. The term encapsulates the rich cultural, historical, and geographical tapestry of the region, illustrating the reciprocal influence of the islands and the inimitable identities of the nations within them.

On the evening of November 25, the Centralwalk i-City bore witness to the culmination of a week brimming with artistry, innovation, and cultural festivities. The MSU Modest Selangor Runway 2023—Charm of Nusantara of the School of Hospitality and Creative Arts (SHCA), in collaboration with the I-City group, stood as a testament to the unity of “One Shah Alam, One Destination." Collaborating with the upscale hijab brand Bawal Exclusive, the runway displayed the collaborative essence of Nusantara Womenswear with a distinctive touch, featuring the creations of twelve designers.
