At Management and Science University (MSU), the Dean’s List Award recognizes students who have completed 12 or more credits during a semester with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.50, along with achieving a grade of A in Personal Enrichment Competency (PEC) courses in the same semester. October 2023 saw the Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering and the School of Education and Social Sciences host the Dean’s List Award Ceremony.

FISE’s primary objective is to cultivate technically proficient and holistic professionals. Its educational programmes seamlessly blend cutting-edge technological knowledge with a diverse range of human values and a global perspective.

FISE held its annual Dean's List Award Ceremony at the Performing Arts Theatre (PAT) for the semesters of February 2022, September 2022, and February 2023.  A total of 508 students were honoured during the event, with 79 from Engineering and Technology, 177 from Information Science and Computing, and 252 from the Media Science and Graphics departments.

 

 

The Best Student Awards for diploma programmes were awarded to Goh Aik Kwi, pursuing a Diploma in Games Design and Animation; Jasmine Zurayn Zairi, enrolled in the Diploma in Information Technology; and Eirshad Muqhrees Mohd Asrol, working towards a Diploma in Computer Engineering.

Adrishha Abdul Aziz, majoring in Bachelors in Visual Communication and Marketing; Adam Syukran Mohd Azahari, pursuing a Bachelor in Computer Science; and Irfan Nuaim Mohd Khairudin, specializing in Aviation Management and Piloting, won the best student awards for the bachelor's degree category.

 

 

Guest speakers from KidoCode Sdn Bhd added value to the ceremony, such as Muhammad Firdaus Mohamed Badauraudine, who holds the role of Senior Trainer in the Web and Electronics and Robotics Department, and Afiq Azmi, the Junior Trainer and Manager of Kids Business Administrations (KBA).

 

 

SESS, conversely, paves the way for individuals to play an instrumental role in shaping the future of our community. Its comprehensive educational programmes seamlessly integrate theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience and real-world applicability, empowering students with the necessary confidence and proficiency to pursue impactful careers in fields related to education and the social sciences.

 

 

 

The Dean's List Award Ceremony hosted by SESS honoured 259 students, including 150 students from the Education department and 109 students from the Social Sciences department, for their academic achievements during the September 2022, February 2023, and July 2023 sessions.

 

 

 

Goumiga Shegeran, in pursuit of a Foundation in TESL, and Christel Nosiew Wong, enrolled in the Diploma in Counselling and Guidance, were recognised as the top students in the Foundation and Diploma categories. Amelia Shafinaz Azmi Faez, on her path to a Bachelor in Liberal Arts, was honoured with the Best Student Award in the Bachelor's degree category.

 

 

 

Datuk Faridah Merican, who holds the esteemed title of the First Lady of Theatre, was a distinguished guest at the event; she is a co-founder of the Actors Studio, the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre, and the Performing Arts Centre of Penang.
