Management and Science University (MSU) has begun a blockchain collaboration with Japan Halal Foundation (JHF).

 

Providing certification of halal authenticity, the MSU-JHF collaboration has to date certified six Japanese companies as halal compliant; PANGA Yakinikku Restaurant, Silica Techx Ube Co. Ltd, EITO Inc., Water World Co. Ltd, Seiniku-no Okuda (Pvt) Ltd, and ITOFU Co. Ltd.

 

Halal studies make up one of the twenty-five key research areas at Management and Science University (MSU); led by the MSU Centre of Excellence, the International Centre for Halal Studies (ICHLAS).

 

The use of blockchain technology at MSU was launched at the 28th Convocation Ceremony of Management and Science University.

 

Present at the virtual launch of the collaboration between MSU Tech and Japan Halal Foundation were MSU president Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, JHF chairman Mr Mohamed Nazeer, JHF director Ms Saarah Saori Nazeer, JHF food scientist Mr Mohamed Lafir Faslin, JHF Halal Approval Committee member Mr Sheikh M. S. M. Yasir, Tokyo Tokuyama Bussan Co. Ltd president Ms Kang Mijija and director Mr Hong Sung Gi, Yuushokuya Boo Restaurant chief executive officer Mr Tetsuya Takagi, and Silica Techx Ube Ltd sales manager Mr Mochimizo Tomoaki.
