Management and Science University (MSU) held the President’s and Dean’s List Award 2023 for its Management and Science Institute (MSI), Colombo, Sri Lanka.

 

As an affiliate of MSU, MSI Colombo contributes as one of the powerhouses for academic programme development, teaching, and research at Sri Lanka. A global footprint simplifies the process to a greater extent for the University to support the transformative journey of more people from different walks of life and chance upon talented people, which is a crucial way to bridge the gaps. It broadens our ability to tackle society’s challenges by fostering innovation and accelerating scholarly and scientific progress.

Located on Colombo’s Galle Road in Sri Lanka, MSI has been manoeuvring the path to transforming the lives and enriching the future of its populace. The recently conducted President's and Dean's List Awards for the year 2023 provide compelling evidence of this.

The undergraduates from diverse fields of diploma and degree programmes in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Biomedical Sciences, Business Management, and International Business were among the award recipients at the MSI Colombo Auditorium on July 23.

 

 

One hundred and six students took home the Dean’s List certificate for the semesters of 2021 and 2022. Leading the list were the students from the Diploma and Bachelor in Hospitality and Tourism Management, with a total of 58. Making up the second-highest, 24, were the students from Diploma and Bachelor in Biomedical Science.

Eighteen students from both diploma and degree programmes in Business Management, six from the Diploma in Event Management, and two from the Bachelor in Event Management succeeded in securing the certification.

 

 

The President's List honouree was Ahamed Faizal from the Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management programme.

 

 

Officiating and addressing the ceremony was the president of MSU, Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, in the company of Prof Puan Sri Dato Dr Junainah Abdul Hamid, the Vice Chancellor of MSU, Professor Dr Abdol Ali Khatibi, the Senior Vice President for Postgraduate – Offshore Campuses, and Mr Denesh Samantha Peiris, Director of MSI, Colombo.
