What the course will give you
The curriculum of the MSU honours degree programme in games design and animation offers a strong foundation in digital game design through the study of storytelling, storyboarding, 3D modeling and animation, also game developing programming, and prototyping. You will learn game art, design and play, also illustration and modeling.
Your lecturers are industry professionals, and the learning opportunities and experiences we provide you will add depth and breadth to your understanding and develop both your vocational and life skills. An internship at the end of your studies ensures that you graduate industry-ready for a career in games design and animation.

Careers await in game design, videogame development, videogame publishing, video production, courseware development, multimedia development, entertainment, broadcasting, multimedia telecommunication, film and animation, education, edutainment, event management, and advertising. Industry job titles include Artist, Animator, Designer, Programmer, Game Producer, Game Music, and Sound Editor, among others.
Who may enrol
THREE (3) C’s at STPM level including in Pengajian Am / Kertas Am (General Studies / General Paper) and a Credit each in Bahasa Malaysia or Bahasa Melayu Silibus X / Bahasa Malaysia II at SPM/SPMV level; OR an MSU or a PTPL Diploma in a relevant field; OR and MSU Foundation Certificate; OR an equivalent qualification recognized by MSU Senate.
Bachelor (Hons) in Games Design and Animation (BGDA) is a three-year career-focused industry-developed programme by the Department of Media Science and Graphic at MSU’s Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE).
