What the course will give you
Aircraft Maintenance Technology at Management & Science University (MSU) prepares you primarily for employment but also sufficiently for higher studies. You will be taught, among others, aircraft hydraulics and pneumatics; ice and rain protection; aircraft fuel system; fuel and air system; turbine engine; avionics (fixed-wing aircraft); aviation legislation and power plant installation, monitoring, and ground operation.
You must also obtain an Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML) from either Malaysia Airlines Engineering and Maintenance or Dilog Training and Services, the only two approved by the Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia (DCAM) to conduct AML training, examination, and assessment.

Where the qualification may lead you to
You will be qualified to take on the role of aircraft maintenance technician, sheet metal repair technician, aircraft turbine engine repair, aero components repair and overhaul technician, among others.
You will also be equipped to move on to studies for higher qualifications in aircraft maintenance engineering or related fields.
Who may enrol
You need to pass SPM with at least a Credit in THREE (3) subjects including Mathematics and a Pass in English Language; OR obtain a PTPL certificate in a relevant field with at least 2.00 CGPA; OR present a qualification deemed equivalent by MSU Senate.
Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technology (DAMT) is a two-and-a-half-year programme by the Department of Engineering & Technology at the Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE) of Management & Science University (MSU).
