What the course will give you
The curriculum of the MSU diploma programme in pharmacy aims to equip you with the fundamental know-how to dispensing and compounding medicine, also managing health care. Besides anatomy, physiology, and general pharmacology, you will learn microbiology and pharmacognosy, also receive training in hospital pharmacy, pharmacy practices, and alternative medicine.
Graduates of the programme are expected to be skilled in prescription and dosage, also capable of offering advice and guidance in basic health/medication. The learning opportunities and experiences we provide will add depth and breadth to your understanding and develop both your vocational and life skills. Your lecturers are industry professionals and researchers, keeping you abreast with the industry’s latest discoveries. An internship at the end of your studies ensures you graduate industry-ready for a career in pharmacy.

Where the qualification may lead you to
You will be sufficiently equipped for further or higher pharmaceutical studies. You may also seek career opportunities in the government sector, private organizations, healthcare clinics/consultancies, and the pharmaceutical industry, as Pharmacy Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Quality Assistant, or Healthcare Assistant Consultant, among others.
Who may enrol
You need at least THREE (3) Credits at SPM level including in Bahasa Malaysia, Mathematics, and one Science subject (Biology is preferred) OR a PTPL Certificate OR an equivalent qualification recognized by MSU Senate.
Diploma in Pharmacy (DPH) is a three-year career-focused industry-developed programme of MSU’s School of Pharmacy.
