Hosted by the Student & Career Development (SCD), the MSU Mini Club Carnival for the February 2024 intake was held in conjunction with the Orientation and Engagement Day.

A grand total of 19 booths were occupied by 26 clubs and organisations representing the following eight clusters: art and culture, martial arts, humanity, uniforms, sport, outdoor and adventure, leadership, and international.

The freshmen utilised the opportunity presented by the carnival to scout for organisations and societies that would most effectively accommodate their personal interests and extracurricular preferences. The membership drive compelled the incumbent student leaders to employ this platform in order to establish an enlightening and participatory atmosphere, all the while presenting the freshmen with the most remarkable aspects of the clubs.

The consortium and an array of activities, including captain ball, tenpin bottle, dart, lompat getah, FIFA, chapteh, collage art, porcelain art, and kelerang, were also coordinated in an effort to maintain student interest and cultivate camaraderie throughout the day.

With 26 international students from Bangladesh, Brunei, China, Fiji, Indonesia, Libya, the Maldives, Myanmar, Oman, Pakistan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Yemen, the February 2024 intake of 583 new undergraduates comprised 277 freshmen and 291 progressing students.

One hundred and fifty-seven students are enrolled at the Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE), 140 at the Faculty of Business Management and Professional Studies (FBMP), 97 at the School of Education and Social Sciences (SESS), 82 at the School of Hospitality and Creative Arts (SHCA), 50 at the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (FHLS), 15 at the School of Pharmacy (SPH), two at the International Medical School (IMS), and 20 at the MSU College (MSUC).
